    Description

    Here is a rare find....
Lightweight, antique tool, not sure of the use in the field, but definitely for use in the field of firefighting. This company was started in 1903 as National Belting and Hose Co., then in 1905 as General Manufacturing. They started producing fire extinguishers in 1918. In 1926 they changed their name to The General Fire Truck Corporation and moved to Detroit in 1936. They were then renamed in 1942, so THIS TOOL IS DEFINITELY FROM THE LATE '30s - very early 1940s.
Embossed, raised lettering on the metal tool reads: THE GENERAL FIRE TRUCK CORP. DETROIT MICH. and on the other side: POCKET TYPE NO. 110.
See photos for exact condition. They are part of the description. Thanks for looking!
