Here is an old matched set of Maryland license plates from 1931.  These plates are a lot heavier and more steel then today's plates and this one measures about 15" x 6".  Surface rust and some pitting, still very readable. This is a very hard set to find as a matched set.  The plates themselves are very nice, they are faded and there is some white still on the numbers, also one plate is missing about 1 1//2" x1" part of the metal along the top right side.
