  • Condition: This is a wonderful English wax doll with beautiful color and exquisite costuming, It looks like a Montanari but there is no marks that I can see in her body. Sometimes these dolls looks more like baby but this doll looks more like a Young lady doll with her lovely human hair wig. There is one small scratch on the arm as shown in the last photo. Really no Photos do not do this justice to this pretty young lady doll. So hard to capture her coloring the flash seems to make her look to pink The doll does not come with the chair. That photo shows her color better in that light.

    WELCOME TO A CENTURY OF DOLLS.
    This is a lovely English Wax young lady  doll Circa 1870. She looks like a Montanari but there are no body marks I can see.  She is Circa 1870. She has a  a beautiful straw-berry  blonde human hair wig with blue glass eyes.
    She is a perfect 16” shelf size. I do recommend that Wax dolls be kept in glass case out of dust and light. This is how she has been store for many years in my doll store inventory display case. However She was thrilled to visit Nashville UFDC convention in 2019 and she took the red second place   Ribbon  in the wax category. I think there were a dozen or more dolls in the category that  year.
    She has the most endearing pleasant smile.  She is 16” tall
    dressed in an original antique dress with bonnet and antique undergarments and pantaloons and antique socks with leather shoes.
    She has a sturdy cloth body  and she sits easily. She has a shoulder head and  wax arms. **There is a tiny scratch on the wax  arm shown in the  last zoom photo.**
    Otherwise this doll is unplayed with and shows little signs of any wear. I would love for her to go back to England ? Hint Hint.
    She is in excellent clean  condition with no odors or serious stains on her clothes. There are no chips cracks or breaks in the wax dolls head.
