Collection of Vintage Mother of Pearl Buttons in Gold Camel Tea Tin, 1930s

Description

This is a vintage metal Gold Camel Tea tin containing 125 loose buttons and 1 card of 12 round
Mother-of-Pearl buttons from the 1930s.
The buttons are either Bakelite or Mother-of-Pearl and range in size from 1/4-1/2".  Most are
1/4-5/8", and a few are 1/2".  The round ones are 3/8". Part of the cardboard backing reads
fancy novelty buttons and pearl buttons.
The tin is a Gold Camel Tea tin made by the L.H. Parke & Co.  It is badly worn, but the central
picture of the camel and the words Camel Tea are legible. The rest of the tin is covered in light,
superficial rust. It is approximately 2 1/2" by 1 3/4" and 1" tall.
This was in a box of inventory from my Great-grandmother's five and dime store
which went out of business in 1935.  It has been stored in a climate controlled, non-smoking
home ever since.
