Dustin Turpin Custom Flipper Pocket Knife, rare, original, handmade “Insight”

This very special and rare custom piece was made by Dustin Turpin. An extremely talented artist, his knives are hard to come by. This “Insight” is pre-owned, but in near mint condition.The blade is 3.25”, S35VN, hand rubbed with a hollow ground, satin finish. Special attention was given to create the gorgeous horizontal brushed patina on the blade.The handles have carbon fiber milled scales, with bead blasted titanium bolsters, liners and pocket clip. The scales transition between the carbon fiber and the titanium bolsters is impeccable, as is the gap between them and the liners.The back spacer is truly unique, a slice of titanium has been “sandwiched” between two pieces of G10 and were milled out to create an intricate design. A matching tube has been inserted, in the event a lanyard is desired. Well placed “jimping” has been added to the blade stock for comfortable handling.The titanium liner lock has “early” lockup. Unique cut outs within it and the opposing liner provide easy access to disengage the lock. Blade centering is “dead on” and meets up perfectly with the special bottom titanium tip backspacer. The opening/closing action is run on bearings and is extremely smooth. In total, a wonderful addition to any collection. Comes in a zippered, super soft pouch.
