Jackie Coogan Kid EIH Horsman Compo 14" Original Outfit Pin Stand Estate Doll

Description

This charming antique doll comes from the estate of a long-time doll and antique collector.
He represents the child star Jackie Coogan, whose famous silent movie "The Kid" was made with Charlie Chaplin in 1921.
The head is made of composition, with minor crazing and no lifting of the original paint.
Shoulder plate is marked E.I.H. Co. 1921, the early name for the Horsman company.
There are some paint rubs to the hair, consistent with age and play.
He has lovely brown painted eyes with some paint loss in one eye.
He is 14" long overall.
His outfit includes:
Plaid overalls with original tag
Original lapel pin
Original red jersey shirt
Original lace-up shoes (have some wear as shown in the photos) and socks
Replace hat in the original style
The former owner's written information on the provenance of the doll, and the stand, are included.
This doll has been carefully stored for many years. It may have minor damage consistent with age as shown in photos.
