Smith Carriage Co Buggy Tag Sign Plaque Springfield Mass Est 1827

Description

Up for auction is a brass plaque, tag, sign from the Smith Carriage Co. in Springfield, Massachusetts.  This company was established in 1827.  Today, 3 of their buildings on Park Street are still standing and they now form the Smith Carriage Company District on the National Registry of Historic Places.  The thin brass tag measures 4 1/4' wide x 1 3/4" high.  I have not attempted to clean  this item as I don't want to do any damage. The tag also shows a silhouette of a man driving a single horse carriage.  If you have any questions please ask before you bid.  Sorry, no returns unless the item is not as I have described it.
