New Chris Reeve Impinda Slipjoint Folding Knife 3.0" S35VN Stonewashed Blade, Titanium HandlesSKU# IMP-1000
Birthdate: Feb 13th, 2020
Chris Reeve's vision was to make a modern slipjoint and to do it well. One with sleek lines and a functional blade for the outdoors. And so smooth it clocks open, but closes safer than your grandfather's jack-knife. Introducing, the Impinda: a Reeve/Harsey slipjoint made to cut, fold, and repeat.
The Impinda is a slipjoint designed by William W. Harsey and brought to life by the team at Chris Reeve Knives. This modern slipjoint features a patent-pending spring design that applies pressure to the blade at a single point of contact as it glides along the varying thicknesses of the spring interface, producing a smooth one-pound draw tension with a safer five-pound closing tension.
As a slipjoint and non-locking knife, the most important part of the Impinda is the relationship between the blade and spring. The Impinda manages pressure at every point of contact, using a differential spring pressure. The balance creates a smoother opening, safer closing, and positive engagement in the fully-open position.
